Matcha Whisk Holders (茶筅立て) are used to maintain the shape of the bamboo prongs on your whisk by allowing it to dry in its original tulip-like form. 
 
Holders prevent the delicate bristles from collapsing, bending or falling inwards, keeping your whisk elongated and ready for next use. The holder prolongs the life of the whisk. 
 
Most other ceramic whisk holders on the market are made in factories using a mold (slip cast)  
 
ZUKO Whisk Holders are handmade on a wheel using Australian Stoneware Clay. Fired at 1280°C with unique Japanese Glazes.
As each piece is handmade, no two pieces are identical therefore each ordered piece may vary somewhat from the pictures.
